Male Chest Concerns
Gynecomastia:
This procedure is one of the most commonly sought after plastic surgery operations for men.
Enlargement of male breast tissue, leading to a more feminine chest appearance.
Sometimes this can occur after weight loss as the skin around the chest will sag and not conform to the trimmer chest wall.
Common causes include hormonal imbalances, certain medications, or underlying health conditions, or no known reason (idiopathic).
Lack of Pectoral Development:
Some patients have a very hard time growing their pectoral muscles with weight training - no matter how hard they work the results are not there.
This desire for enhanced chest definition and muscle tone is common and can be achieved with implants or a more natural fat-banking maneuver.
Fat augmentation (fat-banking) removed fat from areas like the “love-handles” or lower abdomen and transplant the fat into the pectoral muscles (sometimes the deltoids and trapezius) to increase the volume of the muscle by a marble-ing technique to achieve desired results. When you gain weight, the fat should also grow proportionally and help you develop more volume with time.
Transgender Female to Male Mastectomy:
Procedure performed for transgender individuals transitioning toward a more masculine physique.
Removal of breast tissue to create a more masculine chest contour.
Procedures to Address These Concerns:
Gynecomastia Treatment:
Initial consultation to assess baseline health and endocrine status, the degree of gynecomastia and discuss patient goals.
Surgical options may include liposuction, glandular tissue excision, or a combination approach.
Post-operative care, compression, and follow-up to ensure optimal outcomes.
Pectoral Augmentation:
Comprehensive evaluation of patient anatomy and desired outcome.
Options such as fat grafting (fat banking) or pectoral implants are discussed based on individual needs.
Detailed pre-operative instructions and personalized post-operative care plan.
Transmasculine Mastectomy:
Thorough consultation to understand patient expectations and surgical goals.
